YORKSHIRE have made a strong start to their second innings at Emirates Old Trafford, although the Specsavers County Championship Division One match is still heading for a draw.
The White Rose have reached tea on day four at 109-1 from 22 overs, a lead of 125 with a session left.
Peter Handscomb reached an entertaining 34-ball fifty, and he will begin the final session of the match unbeaten on 60.
He hit 43 of the first 50 runs he shared with Alex Lees, who is 37 not out.
They have shared an unbroken 85 for the second wicket inside 14 overs.
Earlier, Tim Bresnan struck twice to wrap up Lancashire’s first-innings reply of 432 to Yorkshire's 448-8 declared.
