Lashings - the world's best cricket club - are back in West Yorkshire on Sunday.

The Kent-based international team, who played at Idle in 2005 and 2006, face a D&R Sports XI at Elland in a 35 overs-a-side match (2.30).

Lashings again will be captained by former West Indies and Yorkshire player Richie Richardson and also include former test player, now TV pundit Jimmy Adams.

Also selected are fellow West Indian Alvin Kallicharran, big-hitting New Zealander Chris Cairns, Sri Lankan Marvin Attapattu, Pakistan's Rashid Latif and England's Phil DeFreitas.

The D&R Sports XI are captained by all-rounder Grant Soames, who is averaging over 50 for Yeadon in the Bradford League. They also include Bradford & Bingley's Phil Slater.

Admission is £5 and the main prizes in the raffle are a bat autographed by the Lashings players and a champagne dinner with 1966 England soccer hero Nobby Stiles at Manchester United.

A big crowd is expected and proceeds from the game are going to the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
