James Davies hit a lively unbeaten 80 as Otley ended North Leeds' 100 per cent start to the Aire-Wharfe League season and opened things up at the top of DIVISION ONE.

Bating at three, Davies cracked 11 fours and two sixes in registering his second unbeaten knock in the 80s this season.

He found good support from Gary Thompson (51) as Otley got home with seven wickets and three overs to spare.

Andrew Burke (4-56) and Robert Atkinson (4-48) had earlier helped bowl out North Leeds for 192, the first time they have been dismissed this season.

Burley climbed to second place, only two points behind North Leeds, after they clinched a two-wicket win over Follifoot with just two balls to spare.

In a game reduced to 38 overs each, Follifoot set a target of 139 for three and, with Drew McKay (6-52) pegging away, Burley had to work hard. But with a half-century from Mark Harrison, they just managed to clinch the points.

Steeton are still struggling at the bottom without a win after losing by five wickets at Pool, while an unbeaten half-century from Barry McCormick was not enough to save Green Lane from defeat by Adel.

With leaders Rawdon and Guiseley having to settle for a single point from abandoned matches against Harden and Hall Park respectively, attention in DIVISION TWO turned to the basement where Upper Wharfedale logged their first win to climb out of the bottom two.

Paddy McKenna was the hero, taking seven for 35 as Horsforth were skittled out for 87, and - after losing some early wickets - the visitors cruised home in 23.3 overs thanks to David Eggleton (33no) and James Freebury (37no).

Yasar Ali hit 12 boundaries and three sixes in his 110 as Silsden piled more agony upon Calverley, who are already six points adrift at the bottom after five games.

Silsden comfortably defended their 181 for nine as Ali (3-5), Zeeshan Qasim (3-29) and Andy Pullen (4-29) felled the visitors for 77.

Tong Park remain in touch with the four sides above them after taking four points at Bardsey.

Opener Phil Hanson (76) top-scored as they raced to a season's best total of 242 for eight but, despite the efforts of Chris Shepherd (4-46) and Mick Scott (3-33), Bardsey's last pair managed to play out the final seven balls to secure a draw.

South African Abe Smith was man of the match as Menston beat Addingham by three wickets with four balls to spare, jumping from fourth to second in DIVISION THREE while sending their opponents in the opposite direction.

Smith's 13.3-over spell of four for 46, together with a superb five for 39 from Charles Dracup, restricted Addingham to 170 after the home side had made a good start, openers Phil Smith (61) and Darrel Robinson (31) putting on 90 and Dave Stuart adding 61.

Stuart (6-42) then got among the Menston batting but, with Adam Campion hitting 43 and Smith 42, the visitors clinched an exciting win.

Olicanian had to settle for four points at Alwoodley but remain in third place.

Dave Corcoran (101no) and Darren Murray (59) led the way as Olicanian reached 226 for three before declaring.

Garfield Williams' second five-wicket spell in three weeks had Alwoodley struggling but their last pair saw out the innings to earn a draw.

Opener Alex Bailey (68) helped Ilkley to 202 for eight and on their way to their first win of the season as, with Richard Harrison producing a devastating spell of six for 38, Thackley crashed out for just 130.
