Foster's Halifax League latest
PAUL Whiteley has been appointed as the new public relations and media manager for the Foster's Halifax League.
The Sowerby Bridge-based former secretary of the Yorkshire Champions' Trophy and the Huddersfield Cricket League takes over from Geoff Wright, who now has a different role on the executive committee.
Wright, who has been press secretary since 2006, will oversee the league's representative team matches and be the co-ordinator for the league's knockout finals.
One of the main reasons for the change is the explosion of social media and the extra work connected with the relaunching of the league website.
