The weather will have to improve today if Albion Sports and Eccleshill United are to get their games in Northern Counties East League Division One played.
The Eagles will be under the guidance of former England Under-21 scout and coach Dia Jones if their home game against basement outfit Appleby Frodingham gets the green light.
Eagles boss Ian Banks and has assistant Ian Mason parted company with the club last Monday.
Albion hope they get the go ahead as they look to host Pontefract Collieries at Horsfall Stadium. If the game gets postponed Albion will not be in action until next midweek when they make the short journey to Farsley in the first round of the West Riding County Cup. That is because Albion were due to host the Eagles in a derby this Saturday but that is shelved because Avenue are at home.
Thackley are also primed for action tonight as they have a scheduled trip to Lincoln Moorlands in the Premier Division.
