Bradford Sunday Alliance Premier Division leaders Thornton United and second-placed Buttershaw White Star both won again to crank up the excitement ahead of their top-of-the-table clash this coming weekend.

Thornton hit the summit with a 4-0 victory over early-season pace-setters Bolton Woods .

First-half strikes by Jamie Douglas, Chris Lever and Brad Asquith put them in charge and another from Deroy White secured the three points.

Jordan Missin scored twice for White Star as they overcame a spirited Mill Lane side 4-2.

Missin scored in each half, along with goals from Steve Hollingworth and Mark Bett.

Dudley Hill fought back from a two-goal deficit at Wyke Wanders to win 3-2.

A first-half brace from Adam Hawker put Wyke in command but three goals after the break clinched victory, which sees them hovering around the fringes at the top of the table.

Phil Brogan hit four goals for West Bowling as they thrashed a weakened Baildon team 8-0, Patsy Hollinger and Joe Jagger scoring two goals each.

In the Division One top-of-the-table clash between Victoria Rangers and Stanningley Albion, Matty Holmes put Vics in front but the visitors equalised before the break.

The second half belonged to Vics, who piled on the pressure and were rewarded with goals from Danny Firth, Holmes and a rasping free-kick from Theo Bujra.

Inconsistent White Eagles beat Peel Park 5-3 and will now hope this can be the start of a push on in both league and cup.
