A late Deroy White goal secured a 4-2 Bradford Sunday Alliance League win for Thornton United against Baildon Trinity Athletic and lifted them to third in the Premier Division .

Thornton raced into a two-goal lead thanks to Danny Walker’s double and Jamie Bairstowe added a third before the interval.

Matty Knowles then made it 4-0, only for the rock-bottom visitors to hit back with two Tom Graves strikes. But Thornton sealed the points courtesy of White.

Bolton Woods continued their good form with a 1-0 win against Dudley Hill Rangers to lie top of the early-season table.

Eccleshill raced into a seventh-minute lead with a Joe Sanderson goal and missed several other chances before captain Vinny Walker converted after 39 minutes to make it 2-0 at the interval.
