Paolo Di Canio today stirred up opposite number Phil Parkinson by claiming he is not popular with supporters.
And the Italian, never short of a controversial word, ensured it will be no typical end-of-season encounter.
The Swindon boss said: “They (City) have a big disappointment this season and the manager is under pressure because the fans don’t like him too much.
“But he will want to finish and leave a good memory from the last game at home. To beat the champions would be an extra satisfaction.
“We had a fantastic season and they had a bad one but that doesn’t mean the game will be easy.”
Swindon boast the top defence and second-best attack in League Two.
Di Canio said: “If we win, we will win 30 games in a season. And if we keep a clean sheet, we will have 26 games without conceding a goal to the opponent.
“If we can score a few goals, we could make ourselves the best attacking team in the division as well as the best defensive. For many reasons we want to finish well.”
