Bradford All Stars won an extraordinary Wilf Ward Memorial Trophy penalty shoot-out 9-8 as they knocked ALC out of the Spen Valley League competition.

It was 2-2 after 90 minutes and 3-3 at the end of extra time, before All Stars finally made progress after the sudden-death conclusion.

Misbah Chowdhury, Amraiz Najib and Khuram Khan had scored the All Stars goals.

An Ashley Barnes double gave Oakwell a 2-0 interval lead but BD3 United Reserves powered back to win 3-2 with goals from Shummell Uddin, Syeed Hussain and Sheraz Mohmood.

Marsh were comfortable 6-1 winners against Norfolk as Mark Wigley (2), Josh Wood (2), Andrew Milner and Loz Balmforth did the damage.

Leaders Bradford marched on in the Premier Division with a 4-2 win at home to mid-table West Bradford Spartans, although they had to overcome a 2-1 interval deficit.

Bobby Canning and Sam Prest saw their goals for Spartans, who had won 7-4 at Girlington in midweek, overturned by Shaun Addy (2), John Singh and Azir Gulzar.

Fifth-placed Girlington also lost on Saturday as Altaf Ugrader’s header sealed a 1-0 home verdict for Ravensthorpe Rangers.

Second-placed Jardy Boys kept up the pressure at the top with a 3-2 win at Fairbank United, who had also lost 5-2 at BD3 United in midweek.

Goals from Oliver Mitchell, Joe Lyttle and Jordan Ledgard for Jardy outweighed Fairbank replies by Faisal Shabbir and Naveed Hussain.

BD3 could not add to their midweek success as they were edged out 2-1 by third-placed TVR United at the weekend, TVR having beaten Ravensthorpe 3-2 during the week.

Ashiq Iqbal and an own goal earned TVR their win over BD3, who had Toseef Ashad on target.

A single Division One match was played on Saturday and resulted in a 5-3 home win for leaders Vision over Howden Clough.

Two goals each by Chris Lever and Anthony Bannon were supported by Liam Hartley, while Phil Clarke (2) and Ashley Peel replied.

One midweek game saw bottom side Ravenswharfe Hotel lose 4-2 at third-placed Marsh. Bradford All Stars v Vision was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
