I’m not one for chucking the toys out of the pram when things don’t go right.

Obviously I was disappointed not to be involved at Crewe on Tuesday. I was looking forward to it and to be told that I wasn’t going to play was a blow to my personal pride.

But I’m not going to scream and shout about it. It’s the manager’s decision and that’s the only one that matters.

He picks the team and I respect that and the only response I can give is to work as hard as I can on the training pitch and wait for my next chance.

Crewe is probably the worst place when you are not in the squad because where you’re sat is literally on the bench anyway. When Bully came off in the second half he was sat next to me.

It hurts, as it would any player, but there are bigger things to worry about at the moment than me not being in the team.

The club are far more important and, despite feeling a bit down, I was the first one to wish the lads luck before the game.

I’ve never caused a scene at any club I’ve played for. You may not always agree with every decision that is made but it’s not my position to moan about it.

Unfortunately the defeat means that we are facing two big home games now and two tough ones as well.

My old club Gillingham’s away form isn’t great but they have turned their form round recently. They went eight without winning at one stage but have come right back into it in the play-off race.

They will be kicking themselves after losing to Crawley on Tuesday but they beat Cheltenham 3-0 last week so we know what they are capable of.

Then we’ve got Crawley up here when we can hopefully make them regret wanting to get the original game called off for a frozen pitch. I saw the surface at the time and it was definitely playable so let’s hope that backfires on them.
