Second-bottom Wibsey go into their final six games in the West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division knowing that only a sudden reversal in fortunes will see them keep their place in the top flight next season.
With most of their relegation rivals having played fewer games, Wibsey’s final fixtures will be like cup finals.
After entertaining second-placed Tyersal on Saturday and mid-table Storthes Hall on Saturday week, Wibsey will then visit leaders Ovenden West Riding and third-placed Golcar United. Fourth-placed Kirkburton visit Wibsey next before they end the season with a visit to lowly Littletown in late April.
Steeton could do Wibsey a favour when they host Lower Hopton, who are just five points better off.
Salts – who are without a Division One fixture – can only watch on and hope Dudley Hill Rangers – who entertain third-placed Overthorpe – can take at least a point to allow Salts to retain second place behind leaders Lepton Highlanders, who are at basement side Halifax Irish.
The Bradford & District FA Saturday Senior Cup final takes place on Monday night when Campion meet Salts at Thackley (7pm).
