Guiseley 2 Harrogate Town 1
Jason Price opened his account for his new club last night as Guiseley came from a goal down to beat Blue Square Bet North rivals Harrogate Town.
The former Bantam stabbed in the Lions’ equaliser soon after the restart after they had trailed 1-0 at the interval.
Guiseley had mustered only three chances of note in a tense derby when Harrogate’s Will Turl headed them in front following a 43rd-minute corner.
There were few chances after Price’s leveller but the Lions did snatch a winner. It was skipper Simon Ainge, another former Bradford City man, who scored it seven minutes from time with a shot from two yards outside the area.
Guiseley moved into joint second place with the win, just eight points off the top, with leaders Hyde to visit this weekend.
The only down side for the Lions was a bad injury to Danny Boshell soon after the half-hour mark.
The midfielder was taken to hospital and the reaction from the players suggested that the lower leg injury he suffered is a bad one.
