Bradford City hope it will be third time lucky as they try again to play their twice-postponed FA Women’s Cup tie at Charlton on Sunday.
The weather delay is causing problems across the board as the lack of games will undoubtedly impact on match fitness, with Steve Winterburn’s hopes of leading his side to promotion from the Northern Combination now being threatened by fixture congestion.
With 12 weeks left in the season, City still have a County Cup semi-final – they are also favourites to reach the final itself – possibly another FA Cup tie and eight league games to complete.
In the league, mid-table Huddersfield Town are at home to Stockport County, while in the North East Regional League Premier Division, third-bottom Guiseley travel to basement side St Francis hoping to boost their survival hopes.
The Division One South title race will undoubtedly be affected by the Lepton Highlanders v Rothwell game, with both sides in contention.
Bradford Park Avenue, another side badly hit by the weather in recent weeks, are at Brighouse in the West Riding League Premier Division.
