Leeds have signed veteran Maik Taylor on a deal until the end of the season.

The 40-year-old goalkeeper joined United on a short-term contract in November and has now committed his future for the rest of the campaign.

Taylor, a former Northern Ireland international, has yet to feature for Simon Grayson’s side.

Grayson said: “Maik has good experience to be in and around the squad and obviously if anything happens to Andy Lonergan, then he can step in.”

Taylor’s initial deal was due to expire after Leeds’ home match against Ipswich on January 21.
