Leeds United defender Patrick Kisnorbo has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee ligament injury.
The 30-year-old suffered the injury after falling awkwardly during the opening 20 minutes of Monday’s 2-1 win over Burnley at Elland Road.
The news is another blow for the Australian, who suffered an Achilles injury in March 2010 which sidelined him for 14 months.
Boss Simon Grayson said: “We’ve had the unfortunate news that Paddy has suffered ligament damage and has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
“It’s a big blow for the club but more so for Paddy after the long-term injury he has just recovered from.”
Leeds suffered another big loss last week when Robert Snodgrass had to have an appendix operation.
