Ground-sharing is not the only teething trouble semi-professional newcomers Albion Sports have faced as boss Kulwinder Sandhu has not had much success in his recruitment drive.

He said: “We have been trying to sign a few players because we came up with the squad that got us promoted and, while they are good enough, there is not much depth and there are a lot of games to be played.

“It is difficult to entice players here because we are new and people are looking to see how we get on before deciding.

"Hopefully they will see us establishing ourselves and be impressed by the quality players we already have, and maybe we will pick a few players up as the season goes on.

”Sandhu has also revealed his frustration at not being able to build any momentum but refuses to place any blame for that on their switch to Horsfall Stadium or their new landlords Bradford Park Avenue.

Sports were forced to move from their Myra Shay home in order to make the step up onto the football pyramid and there choice was Horsfall - the Bradford- based venue that is Bradford Council-owned but Avenue’s home since the reformed club returned to the city.

“We have absolutely no complaints about Horsfall, and all the people have been great to us from day one - The council people and the Park Avenue people,” said Sandhu.

“It’s not an ideal situation but ground-sharing is never straightforward. We should have been playing at home last Saturday but because Avenue were drawn at home in the FA Cup, our league game had to be postponed.

“It is something we have to put up with, and I’m sure it will happen again. Our lads have settled and got used to the stadium - in fact we have not lost at home so far.”

Albion have played five of their 12 fixtures in league and cup at Horsfall and, so far, have a 100 per cent record.

They have won three league games, one League Cup tie and one Wilkinson Sword Trophy (First Division Cup) tie.
