George Green will make his Everton debut on Saturday – against Liverpool.
The 15-year-old hot-shot signed the deal on Tuesday night that will eventually net City up to £2million.
And he could not wish for a bigger first game than the under-16s Merseyside derby this weekend. The team he will face also includes two former Bantams youngsters, Nial Heaton and Calum Pilkington.
Midfielder Green had a medical with Everton on Monday before completing the move the following day, despite renewed late interest from Tottenham.
Joint-chairman Julian Rhodes said: “Spurs came in with a bigger offer but we were more than happy for him to stay with Everton and honour the agreement we’d got.
“George had settled in there and made it clear he was happy to be an Everton player.”
