Eccleshill United’s recent resurgence continued in some style as they registered a 4-0 victory at Louth Town in Northern Counties East League Division One last night.

Divisional rivals Albion Sports also maintained their fine start to the season with a 6-1 win at Dinnington Town.

The Eagles were held up on the motorway and arrived late at Louth. They even had to start the match without a warm-up but a first-half brace from Marcus Edwards settled them down. Goals from debutant Victor Barlis and Joe Penn finished off the home side.

Albion were 5-0 up at the break, with Alex Cusack and Joe Brown both firing doubles after Andy Bailey had opened the scoring. Bailey added a second in the second half before Dinnington claimed a late consolation.
