Pickering Town 4, Thackley 2
Thackley’s final game of the season ended in a 4-2 defeat tonight in the Kool Sport Northern Counties East League Premier Division.
Pickering hit them with goals at crucial times to leave the Dennyboys chasing the game.
Joel Ramm got his head to an early free-kick to net the home side’s first but Thackley got back into the contest with two goals in as many minutes from Matt Mathers midway through the first half.
Town’s Josh Greening got the home side back in it just before the break, and within minutes of the restart Darren Clough had put them back in front. Four minutes from time, Pickering substitute Lewis Taylor added their fourth.
