Club captain Richard Naylor moved closer to full fitness by completing the full game as Leeds defeated Sheffield United in a friendly behind closed doors at Thorp Arch yesterday.
Naylor’s troublesome knee stood up to the test and goals by Billy Paynter and Lloyd Sam earned Leeds the win. Jordan Snodin, son of former Leeds captain Ian Snodin, appeared in the second half in place of striker Mike Grella, whose loan move to Motherwell last week fell through.
Midfielder Adam Clayton also played on his return from Peterborough.
