Bradford Dudley Hill return to fortress Parry Lane on Saturday seeking to prevent National Conference Premier Division Hull Dockers from posting a double.

Hill lost the away encounter 40-31 in a high-scoring game that reflected the defensive weaknesses in both teams at that time. Recent games, however, have seen the combatants muscle up in style to register vital away wins last week.

The Dockers will be no pushovers, currently positioned one place above Hill in sixth spot, but the hosts have stand-off Tony Will-iams in brilliant touch, ably supported by Jason Lee and Tony Huby in a strong pack.

West Bowling coach Ricky Helliwell is looking to his charges to bounce back from last week’s heavy home defeat against table-toppers Hunslet Warriors when the more sedate Shaw Cross Sharks arrive at the Bankfoot Oval.

Helliwell said: “We badly need a win to escape the dog fight that is developing at the bottom. We have a number of lads away but loose forward Johnny Summers is back and Shaun Fallon, who on his day is still one of the best half-backs around, will be on the bench following his successful return from a long-term shoulder injury.”
