Westwood Dolphins were all at sea in their under-14 match against Nab Wood Juniors in the Craven, Aire and Wharfe League.

Jack Partington (2), Luke Waddington, captain Nikhil Vekaria and Charlie Hague were Nab Wood’s scorers but several other opportunities were missed.

Nab Wood’s strong bench was a factor in their victory, Shakheel Ashraf and Harry Taylor both making excellent debuts, while Zahid Ahmed performed well in goal.

BD3 United under-14s notched a 5-3 home win over Long Lee, with goals from Usamah Iqbal (3), Sulaman Khan and Sohrab Khan.

Having beaten Division C leaders Shipley Tigers 8-3 last time out, Bradford Tigers travelled to Sutton in confident mood.

But although they led twice, they came back from North Yorkshire with their tails between their legs following a 5-3 defeat.

Scorers for Tigers in a disappointing display were Jordan Kitching, Zivo Takavarasha and Tom Oman but they also hit the post or bar four times and had about four goalmouth melees in Sutton’s area as well. Skipper James Townend was Tigers’ man of the match.

After three defeats, Albion Sports under-14s returned to winning ways with a 6-0 win at Farsley Celtic.

It was their first win over Celtic and all the goals came in the second half, Issy Rehman, Mohammed Rada, Adam Yasin, Adam Iqbal, Zak Khan, and Tariq Aziz netting. Captain Is-Haq Khan was an inspiration on his return from injury.

Silsden under-15s A felt hard done by in only managing to draw 1-1 at Idle Juniors.

The visitors hit the bar three times in the second half against opponents who had no substitutes but Silsden’s only goal came from a Leon Wilton header from a corner, also in the second half.

BD3 United under-15s maintained their 100 per cent record with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Oakworth, Mohammed Israr scoring just before half-time.

In a battle of 100 per cent teams, United’s under-12s won their top-of-the-table clash 3-1 against Keighley Shamrocks, with goals from Omed Gardezi (2) and Jamal Raja.

Bradford Park Avenue extended their unbeaten run with a 9-1 home victory over Eccleshill. However, they had to win from behind, scoring three before half-time through Josh McKiernon, Billy Raistrick and Omar Powell.

It was one-way traffic in the second half, with Raistrick and McKiernon grabbing two more each and Connor Russell scoring the goal of the game when he spotted the keeper off his line and lobbed him from halfway. Callum Towriss added to Eccleshill’s misery.

Albion Sports started life in the new Division 11A with a hard-earned 3-0 home win over Nab Wood.

Nab Wood started brightly but a resolute defence and Albion’s goalkeeper Lewis Hawkes kept them at bay.

Albion counter-attacked and went ahead through a shot by Bilal Tofan and a second goal followed five minutes later, midfielder Mohammed Yusuf Hussain running through a static defence.

The second half was more equal but Albion wrapped the game up in the last minute, forward Izatullah Ghaznewal tapping in from close range after a great cross from Sohail Ashraf.

Bradford Park Avenue under-13 A team gave a lacklustre display at Silsden Reds, drawing 3-3.

Avenue were behind three times but hauled themselves level via Olaf Rutkowski (2) and Harrison Whittaker.

Prospect soared to the top of the Under-13 Division D table with an 8-4 demolition of Eldwick.

Two goals apiece for Jordon Farrell, Johnny Durkan and Ellis Heald Smith, as well as strikes from captain Joel Friis and Liam O’Sullivan, saw the home side through, Jack Nagy being impressive at centre back.

Thackley’s under-13s were defeated 5-1 by Albion Sports, who gave their best performance of the season so far.

After soaking up early Thackley pressure, Albion went ahead through man of the match Nadeem Khan, who then set up Krishan Patel for the second.

Thackley pulled a goal back early in the second half but after Khan made it 3-1, Albion needed two stunning saves from Kyle Trenerry.

Khan then scored twice more. Akask Farooq and Aaron Day were outstanding for Albion.

BD3 United under-18s defeated Calverley United 2-1, Umer Masood and Mehdi Baaziz, with a 30-yarder, netting for the winners and Elliot Walker replying with a set-piece.

In an under-18 clash, BD3 United won 2-1 at home to a tough Calverley team, Isa Iqbal and Mohammed Mun-eeb grabbing the goals to avenge their away defeat earlier in the season.

Daniel Frost showed he is settling in quickly for Bradford Park Avenue Eagles under-tens in their 3-0 victory at Horsforth Mustangs in the Keybury League.

Frost put Avenue ahead after they had twice hit a post, and went on to complete his hat-trick.

In the Green Division, Avenue’s Hawks continued their strong start with a 9-1 victory at Horsforth Broncos, man-of-the-match Liam Brook (4), Aaron Nowell (4) and Leon Marsh-Clark being the Hawks’ marksmen.

Thackley under-nines became the first side this season to score against Bradford Park Avenue Lizards – with only three minutes left. But the Lizards still managed to preserve their unbeaten record with a four-man move in the last 30 seconds.

A quick throw-in from Stefan Giangregorio found Jacob Dunn. His threaded pass went to Matthew Ham, who quickly pushed the ball to the onrushing Lewis Moorhouse, who burst the net with his powerful strike.

Thackley did win their under-nine clash against Avenue Scorpions, however, by 3-1.

Avenue were 2-0 down with five minutes left of the first half but halved the deficit when striker Thomas Marshall held the ball up well for Frankie Brimacombe to score with his left foot.

But Thackley wrapped things up with a third goal in the second half, midfielder Regan Davidson being named as Avenue’s man of the match.

Silsden under-nines scored an own goal during their 3-0 defeat by visitors BD3 United, Ihsan Elahi and Hasnai Iqbal also scoring.

Unbeaten United under-eights defeated Skipton LMS 5-0 with goals from Saas Shafique (3), Mohammed Hakeem and Raess Shaffi.

Determined Nab Wood under-tens made Albion Sports dig deep for their 3-2 victory, which preserved their unbeaten record.

Albion missed a couple of early chances before Nab Wood took the lead midway through the first half.

Sports didn’t let their heads drop, however, and captain Alfie Moulden levelled before the break.

The second half was more open than the first, with both teams squandering good chances, before Nab Wood once again took the lead.

However, Albion’s man of the match Raheem Mohammed equalised but it needed a superb penalty save by Piyush Rana to prevent Nab Wood taking the lead again.

Lifted by this, Sports went up the other end and sealed a superb victory through Ibrahim Hussain.

Albion Sports under-eights triumphed 5-0 at Bramley Phoenix with goals from man of the match Kareem Smith (2), Jake Charles (2) and debutant Jnai Ryan Trought.

Horton Foxes under-11s went top of Garforth League Division Three with a hard fought 8-4 win at Menston, with goals from Rhys Delaney (3), Joshua Hutton (2), Liam Hooson, Daniel Dockray and man of the match Sam Thomas.

Albion Sports under-14s won 7-1 at Colton Juniors, thanks chiefly to another great performance from Karamjit Basi.

He scored twice, others on target being Kamron Basi (2), Marcus Harper (2) and Brendon Khulani.

Wyke Wanderers under-tens B made it seven wins out of seven in the Huddersfield RCD League with a 3-2 defeat of Batley.

Leading through goals by Atta ur Rehman, Dylan Silson and Cain Holdsworth, Wanderers needed some brilliant goalkeeping from man of the match Ben Sutcliffe to triumph.

Wyke Wanderers under-tens A missed a bucketload of chances and were 2-0 down to Batley, but two late goals from Sam Wainman earned them a well-deserved point.

At under-nine level, Wyke A lost 3-1 to Batley A – but gave it a real go. Batley went 2-0 ahead but a fabulous goal from Owen Khan halved the deficit while Batley gave their best player a one-minute break!

In the B-team clash, Wyke won 1-0, Balmforth scoring a brilliant headed goal late on. But it still needed a penalty save in added time by man of the match Jack Hewitt-Hill to secure their first clean sheet of the season.
