Just two games were played in the Spen Valley League at the weekend due to a District Cup date.

The only Premier Division fixture ended in a goalless draw between Bradford and Ravensthorpe Rangers, who were playing their first match after celebrating Ramadan.

In Division One, it finished 8-1 to BD3 at home to Howden Clough as Intikhab Alam and Aman Zaseen scored twice apiece.

Arkadiusz Sobies, Shummell Uddin, Syeed Hussain and Saisal Hussain completed the tally, with Jamie Clarke netting the only reply.

There is a change of venue for some fixtures next Saturday as a new roof is being fitted to the changing rooms at Crawshaw Street.

Both Premier Division games will now be played at Holroyd Park, with Ravensthorpe facing Thornhill Rangers and Quarry taking on TVR United.

In Division One, Savile Town will be moving home games to Crawshaw Street as their current Headfield Road pitch is smaller than the required size. But they will play ALC at Peel Park this weekend.

Meanwhile, the league are keen to hear from referees who are available to officiate in games. Anyone interested should call Mavis Ward on 01274-873987.
