Bradford battled hard against the elements to gain revenge over Sheffield in the Yorkshire Inter-District League.
Their 22-14 win at a sodden Shipley helped erase the memory of last year’s defeat at Silkstone.
The hosts’ 15-9 victory in the singles – played in torrential rain – proved decisive, Keighley’s Andy Fitzpatrick producing the biggest win (6&4) in his first appearance for two years.
But Bradford also managed to turn a potential 8-4 interval deficit into a 7-5 lead in the morning foursomes.
James Firth and Paul Thomas won their last three holes to gain a half, while Peter Fenton and Nigel Colbeck came back from one down with three to play to win on the last.
Skipper Tim Wade said: “Congratulations to our players, because on paper we looked to have the weaker team as the highest handicap in the Sheffield side was scratch.
“Our commitment and dedication in the appalling weather in the afternoon was tremendous.”
