The on-field management set-up who appeared to be leading Farsley Celtic to Conference North safety last season have committed themselves to a return to Throstle Nest if the club are successful in their attempt to reform.

The Celts were struggling through administration last season and faced the ignominy of having to resign from the Blue Square North in March.

Neil Parsley was the manager and he was working closely alongside Mark Jackson, who doubled as the under-19s manager, and Simeon Bambrook.

If the club are allowed to reform and take up a place in the Kool Sport Northern Counties East League Premier Division that is on offer, then Parsley will reassemble his coaching staff and try to take Farsley back up the divisions on the non-league pyramid.

With the Throstle Nest complex of ground, sports hall, clubhouse and training pitches still in the hands of the administrators, the rising of a phoenix club from the flames remains shrouded in uncertainty.

Even John Palmer, the life president of the former club who headed a consortium that offered creditors pound for pound on their debts but could not facilitate the administration fees on top, has warned the club’s long-suffering supporters that nothing is cast in iron as yet.
