Bradford and Jardy’s will contest next month’s SPEN VALLEY CUP final after contrasting victories in the last four.

Jardy’s were straightforward 4-0 winners against Black Horse as Johnny Beverley starred with all four goals.

But it needed two Gurpal Bhambra strikes in the last five minutes, the first a penalty, for Bradford to edge out Savile Town 3-1.

Meanwhile, Bradford’s title chances in the Spen Valley League PREMIER DIVISION took a knock as they could only draw 2-2 at Bosnia.

Second-bottom Bosnia twice took the lead but Bradford hit back with goals from Andy Royston and Bhambra.

The dropped points meant Bradford missed a chance to close the gap on leaders Ravensthorpe Rangers, who surrendered a two-goal interval advantage at Savile Town to also draw 2-2.

Third-placed Jardy’s were the main beneficiaries as they beat Youth 2000 3-1 thanks to Dan Stevens, Lee Speight and an own goal.

Perhaps the biggest surprise saw bottom side Howden Clough blitz fourth-placed Black Horse 10-3.

Jamie Clarke scored four times, backed up by Lee Crossland (3), Phil Clarke (2) and Chris Steele. Darren Butler (2) and Craig Fisher replied.

White Rose were the most convincing MARK HAWKINS TROPHY quarter-final winners as they brushed aside Black Bull 4-0 with goals from Ryan Simmonds, Danny Jackson, Aaron Dewhirst and Chad Eggerton.

Sporting Armley edged out Fairbank by the odd goal in seven, with Aaron Dix, Iain McBurney, Danny Goulden and Anthony Morkos on target.

The remaining ties both went to penalties, with injury-hit Quarry missing out 4-2 in a shoot-out against Inter Batley after the match had finished level at 2-2.

Wellington complete the line-up after winning 4-1 on penalties following a 3-3 outcome, opponents Marsh having trailed 3-0 at half-time.

Tom Nixon (2) and Chris Blackburn hit back for Marsh after Wellington goals from Richard McCann, Chris Appleby and Tom Yarnold.
