John Milner’s hat-trick led Marsh to a 6-2 victory at Norfolk in Group A as the Centenary Cup dominated the day’s Spen Valley League action.

Ismail Lunat struck both goals for the hosts but they were swamped by Milner’s treble, backed up by Tom Nixon, Chris Blackburn and Ian Lupton.

It was also 6-2 to Ravensthorpe Rangers at home to struggling George Healey, who trailed just 3-2 at the interval. Simon Moore netted both replies as a Zah hat-trick proved decisive.

The match between winless Howden Clough and section leaders Bradford surprisingly finished level at 3-3.

Bradford led 2-1 at half-time but needed a late equaliser to salvage a point as Clough moved ahead with goals from Jamie Clark (2) and Jamie Smith. Haag Hussain (2) and new signing Ryan Aujla netted for the visitors.

Fairbank edged to a 3-2 win at White Rose, for whom Sam Pickles scored both goals in response to Naveen Hussain, Bilal Saleem and Usman Nawaz.

Jardy’s extended their 100 per cent record at the top of Group B with a 7-1 win at Bosnia, led by James Wightman’s hat-trick. Other goals came from Jason Elliott, Lee Speight, Ben McCann and goalkeeper Dean Foley with a penalty.

Black Horse made it four wins out of four with an 8-0 romp against Black Bull, with Gary Sheen’s treble backed up by Mark Summersgill (2), Dale Pickering (2) and Andy Aquith.

Wellington struggled to raise a team at home to Savile Town and went down 7-2. Both replies came from regular goalkeeper Jamie Trott, who played up front, with an Aron hat-trick leading the visitors’ charge.

Inter Batley drew 2-2 at home to Youth 2000, who missed a penalty after trailing 2-0 at the interval. Yamzan Mazher scored both Inter goals but Youth netted twice in the last 15 minutes through brothers I Rajah and M Rajah.

The day’s only league game saw unbeaten leaders Sporting Armley stretch their advantage to five points with a 2-1 win at second-placed Quarry in Division One, with Carl Smith and a Mark Pearson penalty outweighing Rafel Saudan.
