Goalkeeper Kumran Hussain pulled out all the stops to help earn TVR United victory at Bradford All Stars in a match that was a terrific advert for the Telegraph & Argus League.
The hosts took an early lead and would have been out of sight by the interval but for the efforts of Hussain, who continued to defy All Stars into the second half.
But TVR managed to grab an equaliser after 65 minutes through Nasser Hussain and from that point on they began to dictate, eventually running out 3-1 winners.
Ashiq Iqbal fired them in front for the first time and Faiser Shadir’s goal two minutes from time wrapped up the victory.
West Bowling’s results continue to improve and they collected maximum points from visitors West Bradford Spartans in a scrappy match that finished 2-1.
West Bradford moved in front after 20 minutes through Michael Vaughan’s well-taken goal but two second-half strikes by Iqraaz Ashfaq and John Hakiki turned the tables.
Bradford Arms and Lidget Green shared two goals and the points in the day’s only other fixture.
Green had the better of the first half and moved in front early but Ryan Metcalfe’s outstanding display sparked an Arms recovery.
The hosts had missed a penalty before the interval but Liam Charles made no mistake when they were awarded a second.
