The majority of the West Riding County Amateur League clubs will be involved in the West Riding County FA Challenge Cup and Challenge Trophy on Saturday.

With clubs from the league having won the Challenge Cup eight times in the last ten seasons, hopes are high that most of the 16 teams in Round Two will progress. Campion, who triumphed in 2008, start their quest with a home tie over Craven League Premier Division side Cowling.

Albion Sports face a strong challenge at home to West Yorkshire League Premier outfit Robin Hood Athletic, while holders Ovenden West Riding host West Yorkshire League side Oxenhope Recreation.

Brighouse Town and Golcar United meet at St Giles Road in the only all-County Amateur tie.

Division One leaders Hunsworth entertain Wetherby Athletic.

In the Challenge Trophy, Crag Road United host Alwoodley, Salts reserves have Bronte Wanderers second string as their opponents.

Meanwhile, Wibsey and Tyersal – both early cup casualties – meet at Westwood Park in the County Amateur Premier Division.

Salts, who lost second place in Division One last week, have an early opportunity to recover that position at Wakefield City.
