I’m sure my initial reaction to the cup draw was the same as everyone else. Oh no, here we go again.

It’s a good test for us and of course that 5-0 battering in the league will be on our minds. You can’t forget something like that.

But we’ve got to go back now and put that right and there’s no better place to do that than in the FA Cup.

Look at the 11 who play tonight and it will be a lot different to before. Not many of the young lads who will be flying around for us this evening were in the team that day.

They will probably be thinking that they can show the lot who played that game a thing or two. And that’s not a bad incentive.

From a professional point of view, you want to put that result right and show them that we are a lot better team than on that occasion.

I’m sure their new manager has watched the DVD of that match and thought this is going to be easy. But hopefully we can prove him wrong.

It’s a tough draw but we’re used to that. As long as I’ve been here, I’m sure they only put Bradford in the away draw for any competition. So we shouldn’t be too surprised.

At the start of the season, you dream of Thorney or Zesh lifting that trophy but you’ve got to be realistic. But it would be nice if we can get through a couple of rounds and draw one of the big boys.

Watching other teams in our league doing that, you’re always thinking that it could have been us. Of course you’re jealous when they are playing a Chelsea or an Arsenal but obviously there are two hard rounds to get out the way before you can even think of that.

It’s a big week coming up for us with the FA Cup and Johnstone’s Paint and could really kick us on in the league.
