Bradford Dudley Hill underlined their National Conference Division One promotion credentials with a sparkling 32-10 home success against Milford Marlins.
Hill enjoyed the better of a close first half thanks to tries from packmen Kenny Smith and Tony Huby, both converted by Tony Williams – who also added a penalty.
At 14-10 it looked to be game on but it was a rampant home outfit that dominated the second stanza, with further efforts coming from Danny Thomas (2), Neil Wall and Ade Aderiye.
Williams only managed to convert one of them, which flattered the scoreline in the Marlins’ favour.
West Bowling came a cropper 58-16 at Thatto Heath Crusaders.
West’s were only 18-10 behind when they went into the sheds following touchdowns from centre Trevor Stead and hooker Nathan Hadfield, one of which was converted by wingman Lee Innes.
However, Bowling capitulated in a sorry second-half performance, with only a late try from Gareth Shepherd to show for their toil and trouble.
