Farsley Celtic hurtled up the table with a dramatic late winner against Vauxhall Motors on Saturday and they will be looking to consolidate that with a positive result at Workington tomorrow night.

The Celts had been on the foot of the Blue Square North table from day one after entering into administration during the close season. They have battled to erase the ten-point penalty imposed and have progressed to plus 12 points.

Workington on a midweek evening is a difficult trip to undertake and they know even a win would not see them overhaul their mid-table hosts.

However, the Celts have their tails up following four straight victories.

Mark Jackson and Simeon Bambrook have been in charge for the last two with manager Neil Parsley away on holiday.

Jackson said: "We couldn’t be in better shape going into this game and the confidence is sky high at the moment.

"Pars (the boss) will be back for this one but he missed Saturday’s win. Those three points felt special because the lads never doubted we could get all three even when the game went into stoppage time.

"It was also another clean sheet, which pleases me as a defender and proves we are hard to beat."
