This is a crucial few weeks coming up for City.

Beating Hereford was a good start and now it is important that the team can build that momentum again and start climbing the table.

Up to the Crewe game, everything was going great. The new lads have come in from non-league, as well as the likes of James O’Brien – released by Birmingham – and have done a great job, allied with the good experience already here.

They went on a great little run, going unbeaten for ten matches, and there was a real snowball effect. And they were very unlucky not to carry that on against Crewe after creating so many chances.

But after losing that and then again at Dagenham, it’s been a bit of a test. They should be worthy of more points than so far but it’s about how you respond to each setback.

You can never feel sorry for yourself in football. It’s all about reacting in the right way when things go against you.

That’s why these are crucial matches coming up. It’s a chance for City to get another little run going and build on it.

I see no reason why they can’t because this side has a lot going for it. They are an honest, hard-working bunch.

How many times have you seen supporters upset because they feel players don’t care enough? I don’t think you can say that about the current team at this time.

They turn hopeful balls into good balls because they are willing to chase them down and put defenders under pressure. And they have great mobility up front which always makes them a threat.

This team have a lot of assets for this division and other teams will be wary because they know Bradford have goals in them. It’s about having that belief in yourself.

Saturday’s win was a positive step in the right direction. There’s no reason why they cannot continue pushing forward over the next month.
