Former City winger Juanjo has been given a chance to resurrect his career in England with Bournemouth.
The 31-year-old, who left Valley Parade in 2003, has been handed a trial at Dean Court after a recommendation from former Bantams team-mate Claus Jorgensen.
Juanjo, who had been playing in Spain for Granada, will be given a run-out in a reserve game by Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe.
He said: “Juanjo came to our attention from Claus Jorgensen. He played with him at Bradford so Claus got in contact and said he was worth having a look at.”
The 31-year-old followed Jim Jefferies from Hearts to City before returning north of the border with Inverness. He was not offered a new contract for this season.
Meanwhile, City are waiting to find out the date of their rearranged trip to Bournemouth.
