FOLLOWING the deadline date in February for entrants to the 2024 BARLA National Cup, twenty clubs drawn from the National Conference League, The Pennine, Cumberland League, North West Mens League and Yorkshire Mens League have entered the draw which took place this week.
The road to the final begins with a preliminary round taking place on Saturday 30 March and all competing clubs will be looking to reach the final which will take place on the weekend of the 24/25 August which will be confirmed at a later date.
The preliminary draw see’s eight clubs competing to join twelve others in the first round which takes place on Saturday 27 April and includes previous finalist Featherstone Lions who travel to Warrington side Crosfields previous finalists, and Bradford Dudley Hill, a previous finalist at home to Westgate.
BARLA Chair Sue Taylor MBE said: “I would like to thank all competing clubs for buying into this year’s BARLA National Cup and hope they all enjoy the journey attempting to reach the final in August.
“A lot of hard work has gone on since last year’s final behind the scenes to get to where we are today which see’s an increase in the number of clubs entering the competition this year.”
