ALL Bradford Council grass sports pitches will be closed this weekend.
The Council has made the announcement after wet and rainy weather has impacted already-waterlogged grounds across the Bradford district.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Bradford Council said: "Due to already wet and heavy conditions all our grass sports pitches will be closed this weekend (24 and 25 February).
"We're hopeful fixtures can return to normal next weekend."
The wet weather has had an impact on games this week as Halifax Town's match against Chesterfield at The Shay on Tuesday night was called off in the afternoon due to a waterlogged pitch.
Bradford City's Football League Trophy semi-final match against Wycombe Wanderers went ahead on Wednesday on a very heavy Valley Parade pitch.
