THE three remaining Bradford Premier League sides in the Heavy Woollen Cup, including Woodlands, have been kept apart in the quarter-final draw.

But a fourth Bradford Premier League club, Undercliffe, are out after a dispute over their second-round tie against Huddersfield Drakes League side Moorlands.

The pair were due to face off last Sunday, but Undercliffe were unable to fulfil the fixture due to several players being away.

Moorlands revealed on social media that they were offered the chance to play the tie on Bank Holiday Monday, May 29, or to toss a coin to determine who went through.

Both of those options go against the regulations set out in the Heavy Woollen Cup handbook, which states ties should all be played on Sundays, with round dates given months in advance.

A decision was due to be made over the tie this week, but in protest at the way they feel they have been treated in their maiden Heavy Woollen Cup season, Moorlands have pulled out of the competition.

Undercliffe have been removed from the tournament too over the dispute, so will not be getting a bye into the last-eight.

Sandal have also pulled out in a similar dispute over their tie with Cawthorne, and have resigned from the Heavy Woollen organisation too.

But unlike Undercliffe, Cawthorne remain in the competition, and will take on Hoylandswaine for the chance to visit New Farnley in the quarter-finals.

New Farnley's Bradford Premier League Premier Division rivals Woodlands will host former winners Barnsley Woolley Miners, while Townville travel to Scholes for their last-eight fixture.
