Sam Naylor was City of Bradford Swimming Club’s only representative at the Scottish National Masters Short Course Championships held at Tollcross in Glasgow late last month.

Swimming in the 18/24 years group, Naylor claimed victory and national titles in the 100m butterfly and 400m individual medley in times of 1.00.40. and 4.41.33 respectively.

In the 200m butterfly event, his time of 2.11.63 placed him in silver medal position and he also came second in the 200 and 400m freestyle in times of 1.58.18 and 4.16.53.

Burley-in-Wharfedale native Naylor trains with Bradford Council’s Leisure Services Aquatic Competition Programme, under the guidance of senior coach Andy Pearce and development coach Sarah Fisher.
