They stopped by for a few days to show off some of the latest techniques, moves and strategies from Brazil, after both winning the IBJJF European Championships the weekend prior.

Gabriel is the current Pan Ams, European, Brazilian National and World Champion and touted to be the next big thing in BJJ.

Santos is already well established and a renowned star on the world stage. Both hail from the notorious Cantagalo Favela in Rio de Janeiro.

They stayed with Aire Valley head coach Duane Harper and taught all the classes for a full three days before heading over to America for some more tournaments.

They will go back home to Brazil towards the end of this month.

Harper said: "Having a close relationship with the guys back in Brazil has always been important to the club.

"It's a win-win as they get to travel and compete and we get the benefit of their skills and knowledge.

"Brazil doesn't have a lot in the way of helping young people out of poverty so it's just great that we can get things like this going.

"We have been bringing guys over since 2009 with great success.

"We are a very small club but have had people winning medals at the biggest tournaments in the world and that is testament to the constant refining of what we do."

Aire Valley Martial Arts have Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes running every day.
