BAILDON are still in the Counties Two Yorkshire title race, after recording a solid 24-12 home win over Ripon.

They are third in the table at present, but are 15 points behind leaders Harrogate Pythons, with a game in hand.

Baildon play away from home against the Pythons this Saturday in what is surely a must-win game for the Bradford side.

Defeat would likely end their chances of ending the season on top, with promotion still on the cards, depending on where Yorkshire teams finish in the divisions above.

Cleckheaton's own promotion push in Regional One North East took a hit on Saturday, as they were thumped 42-7 at home to Heath.

They will try to to get back on track at home to York this Saturday.

Bradford & Bingley remain rock-bottom and without a win in Regional Two North East, and they were defeated again on Saturday, going down 35-17 to Pocklington.

They visit lowly Dronfield this weekend looking to snap their long losing streak.
