A GUISELEY swimmer competed in a prestigious national event.
Alex Dunn was in action at Ponds Forge, Sheffield in the Swim England Winter National Championships.
Dunn competed in the 17 years and under 50m freestyle and placed 16th in the 15 years age group in a time of 27.43.
Another City of Bradford swimmers Sophia Gledhill competed in the 17 years and under 100 and 200m butterfly and finished in times of 1.05.53 and 2.24.43 respectively in a very competitive field. These times in her age group placed her in 20th and 12th.
Gina Warrior also qualified for the meet but had to withdraw due to injury.
All the swimmers train with Bradford Council’s Leisure Services Aquatic Competition Programme under the guidance of Senior Coach Andy Pearce and Development Coach Sarah Fisher.
