Yvie Ling-Hegarty proudly wears the gold and silver medals she earned out in Argentina at the World Championships.
A KEIGHLEY taekwondo club has a new world champion, and she is only 12 years old.
Yvie Ling-Hegarty was one of six England representatives from Beanland Taekwon-Do School at the ITFU World Championships in Argentina at the end of last month.
And she shone out in Buenos Aires, following up her gold and silver at the European Championships in Poland in April 2022 with yet more success.
She won gold in patterns and silver in sparring back then, and it was the other way round for her out in Argentina.
With the sparring gold and patterns silver in the bag, Yvie will be hoping for more success later this month at the ITFU British Open Championships.
Those will be held in Luton on Sunday, November 27.
