Craig Bentham admits any game-time for City in the final weeks of the season will be a bonus.

The tough-tackling midfielder reluctantly returned to Valley Parade this week after his three-month loan finished at Farsley Celtic.

Bentham would love to still be part of the Celts' battle for Blue Square Premier survival but league rules prevented him from staying on longer.

And with his City contract up in the summer, the 23-year-old appreciates it is likely to be a short stay back at his parent club - particularly with youngster Luke Sharry, who plays in the same position, being offered his first professional deal.

Bentham said: "Obviously I don't know where I am in the manager's plans after coming back.

"I don't expect anything but I'll keep working hard like I always do and then see what happens.

"I've got mixed feelings about coming back. I really enjoyed myself out on loan but I'm here at Bradford now and I've got to get on with it."

Bentham has been limited to just one start under McCall - the 5-1 hammering at Doncaster in the Johnstone's Paint Tropy. His last first-team appearance was as a substitute against Stockport in November.

But Farsley chief John Deacey is keen to snap up Bentham - a move the midfielder will seriously consider providing the Celts stay up.

He added: "It's always good to be wanted and it would be a great option. The lads there are great and I've been made to feel more than welcome.

"It makes such a difference to be playing week in, week out again."
