Ben Starosta has opened the door for a possible return to City next season but admits: I haven't a clue where I will be.

The 20-year-old has been scrapping it out at right back with Darren Williams since arriving on loan from Sheffield United in January.

Starosta, who spent the first half of the season with Saturday's opponents Brentford, admits the campaign has gone better than he could have hoped.

And he would not need too much encouragement to join up with Stuart McCall again if the chance is there.

Starosta said: "I've still got a year left at Sheffield United so we'll just see what happens at the end of the season but I would definitely have a good think about it if Bradford were interested.

"Basically, I'll have to find out what both parties are thinking and then make a decision. To be honest, at the moment I haven't got a clue."

The Poland under-20 international has yet to feature at Bramall Lane and the Blades were prepared to listen to permanent offers in the last transfer window before City came in.

"I spoke to Sheffield United in January and said I'd rather go out and play than be stuck in the reserves. But they wanted money for me which put a lot of people off because the budgets are full at that time of the season.

"There's isn't much money knocking about in January, especially if teams are looking at defenders.

"But we'll see what happens at the end of the season when players are moving on."

Starosta is certainly geared up for the trip to Griffin Park. You won't hear him talking about meaningless mid-table encounters.

He played 23 times for the Bees, although his time in London ended on a low note with a red card against Wycombe on Boxing Day.

"I've been looking forward to this one for ages," he said. "I can't wait.

"As soon as I came to Bradford I checked the fixtures to see when they played Brentford. It's a really big game for me.

"The fans were very good to me down there. It's a tight ground and they are a passionate lot and really got behind me - it will be good to go back.

"But I will be 110 per cent Bradford on the day and doing all I can to make sure we come away with the right result. We want to try and win every game remaining and finish the season as high as we can." Starosta loves to bomb forward and join the attack with his overlapping runs. And he is itching to open his goal account before the current campaign is up.

"If I'm going to score, it will be a 30-yard screamer," he promised City fans. "That's my trademark that go into the stanchion!

"I get my dad to put a pound on me scoring every week just for a lucky dip and it would be nice if I could actually score soon.

"This season has gone better than I expected. I've played 37 games already, which is pretty good in my first full year.

"Obviously you've got to play well to keep your place, so hopefully I've done that to start so many.

"I've definitely matured as a player but that comes from being in the team regularly and learning all the time."

Brentford boss Andy Scott will keep City guessing about his line-up and formation for Saturday.

Scott, who switched to 4-3-3 at Rotherham last week, said: "I know what my players can do and we play different formations on a matchday.

"We'll have to see about the Bradford game. I'm not going to put out a different formation just for the sake of it.

"It may be an opportunity to use that formation again or change it around completely. We will see."

Meanwhile, City are reminding fans that they must snap up their season-tickets by June 15 for a cut-price £150.

If the current 9,000 adult take-up figure is reached, season-ticket holders will be given an extra one free with gates potentially rising to 20,000.
