Guiseley boss Steve Kittrick is delighted with the way his two recent signings have fitted in.

Former City midfielder Lee Crooks and Sean Taylforth - on loan from Valley Parade - made their full debuts last week at Fleetwood and Kittrick said: "They were superb. They gave us a different dimension and both made huge contributions to the game.

"It has certainly strengthened my hand for the run-in and gives us so many options. Sean is young, he is quick and he is keen to advance his career. Coming here and getting straight into it has done his prospects a world of good.

"It's different with Lee - he has nothing to prove at all. I said to him when he came that he would need to fit in and I told the players that Lee would need their help. The rest of the squad has responded well to both Lee and Sean coming in. "

Dropping down to the UniBond League could have been something of a culture shock for a player who was once in the Premier League with Manchester City. But Crooks has adapted well and Kittrick added: "Lee is very down to earth. He has no airs and graces.

"The only worry for me was that he might struggle after not being a regular starter at Rochdale over the last couple of month but he has coped well. His fitness levels are excellent."
