FIVE ice hockey teams from across the country ( Bradford, Nottingham, Blackburn, Sheffield, Streatham) descended on Bradford Ice Arena last weekend to compete in the Bone Idle Challenge Cup.

The Bradford Ice Wolves came out on a mission to win the cup at their home ground, and took some strong wins through the round robin.

But a poor performance in the final game of the day left the table wide open for the start of action on Sunday.

After a good night's rest, the whole team did what needed to be done and managed to finish the round robin at the top of the table.

In the semi-finals, Bradford took on Nottingham and claimed a 4-0 victory to secure a spot in the final

The final became the battle of the wolves as Streatham Night Wolves were the opponent.

An early penalty shot gave Bradford the lead as Cameron Hill rose to the challenge.

Soon after Streatham had a goal disallowed due to illegal kicking of the puck.

The Ice Wolves completed the game with a dominant performance, eventually winning 3-0 and claiming the cup for themselves.

Everyone in attendance described the weekend as a success, and the club are now busy preparing for June 18/19 as Bradford Ice Wolves B look to continue the winning streak and bring home the Summer Shield too.
