The midweek postponement in the Setanta Shield was a source of frustration for Celts boss John Deacey because it left one of his most influential players unavailable this weekend.
Farsley leave the battle for survival in the Blue Square Premier to one side as they host Alfreton Town in the second round of the FA Trophy.
But they will have to attempt to win the tie against their Blue Square North opponents without Amjad Iqbal.
Midfielder Iqbal was sent off for a second bookable offence in the recent league defeat to Histon.
Had Tuesday's Setanta Shield tie at Droylsden escaped the weather he would have served the mandatory one-game ban.
Though the league remains Celts priority - they dropped into the relegation zone this week - advancement in non-league's most prestigious cup competition would be handy.
Not only would it provide a much-needed confidence boost, a victory over Alfreton would also bring in prize money.
With Deacey scouring the market for players this month now the transfer window is open, any funds that could boost his kitty would be more than welcome.
