Thackley trail Saturday's opponents Long Eaton United by ten points but a recent upturn in form has seen John Boyle's men in a much stronger position than they were in before the festive period.
They remain in 15th place but a win at their tenth-placed hosts would cut the gap to seven points, with Thackley having two games in hand.
