Stuart McCall has warned against taking FA Cup giant-killing victims Stockport lightly on Saturday.

The odds maybe stacked against County when they travel to Valley Parade less than 48 hours after losing a penalty shoot-out at Ryman Premier League Staines tonight.

But the City boss knows gaining three points against a side who have won their three away games prior to that defeat will be far from easy.

He said: "I fear that people might think it's only Stockport and if we win we go above them. I saw them against Darlington and, although they were beaten 4-0, it should never have been that big a loss and it could have been 5-5.

"Despite the cup defeat, they have been more dangerous away from home so I fully expect this to be a really tough task.

"They have big lads throughout the side and are always dangerous with set-pieces so this is not a game we are taking lightly in any way.

"People can think We're on a roll and this is it, we're gonna win - but football doesn't work like that.

"We're going to have to make sure we work really hard to get any reward."

Jim Gannon's side are a point ahead of the Bantams in 15th place after losing 3-2 at home to Leeds' giant-killers Hereford last Saturday.

But they won the game before that 3-0 at current League One leaders Carlisle in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and won their last two away league games, 2-1 at Rochdale and 2-0 at table-toppers MK Dons.

McCall believes Stockport's double header - which saw them travel to Middlesex for the second time in three days after their first game on Monday was postponed - could still have a galvanising effect on their players.

He said: "Unfortunately for them they had to travel down and play on a heavy pitch in London and we've got to take advantage of it.

"But sometimes when something like this happens, you can have a siege mentality and think, we can play two games in three days'.

"You do at Christmas and sometimes new year but obviously we have the advantage of not having to do that."

City are still waiting for international clearance on Willy Topp but they welcome back Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu after a one-match ban.

But McCall has yet to make his mind up who to play up front following an impressive display by Omar Daley in a central role at Dagenham & Redbridge.

He said: "It's a dilemma I've got because Omar did quite well up there - whether G' comes back in, I honestly don't know at this moment in time.

"He's done well for us and Barry Conlon did well for the reserves, scoring two and making two."

Daley scored in the 2-0 win for Jamaica over Guate-mala in midweek which also saw City No 1 Donovan Ricketts play.

Goalkeeper Jamie Waite could gain a place on the bench, having signed this week until the end of the season after being on non-contract forms with Blue Square South strugglers St Albans City.

The 21-year-old Thailand-born international has had spells with Rotherham and MK Dons, among other clubs, but has yet to start a league game.

He made history on his debut for the national side aged just 15 years and 354 days when he came on as a second-half substitute in a game against Singapore in Bangkok.

That made him the second youngest player ever to appear in a full international.

His signature has meant Ben Saynor has gone out on loan to Blue Square North side Leigh RMI, along with youngster Leon Osbourne.

Eddie Johnson is still ruled out with a bad back, while Alex Rhodes has strained his hamstring in training and will not feature.

Paul Tierney is likely to be one of the few familiar faces in the visitors' squad.

The left back - who was on loan at City from Manchester United during the second half of the 2004-05 season - is on a year-long loan at County from Blackpool.

The 25-year-old failed to make a big impact during his Valley Parade spell but has impressed for the Edgeley Park outfit.

He was an ever-present until a virus forced him out of County's recent 3-0 win at Carlisle in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and may be on the bench tomorrow.

The defender had a season with Scottish side Livingston after his City spell before moving to Blackpool last year when he made just 11 full appearances.

Anthony Elding is flying high in the League Two goal-scoring chart with ten league and cup goals, while strike partner Adam Proudlock has played much of his career at a higher level with Wolves and Sheffield Wednesday.

It was goalkeeper Shaun Allaway who was the hero for Staines as he denied Anthony Pilkington and David Poole in the shoot-out after a 1-1 draw.

Adrian Toppin headed the hosts ahead after a Dwayne Clark corner but Matty McNeil slotted in the equaliser.

Stockport flew their players down for the game. Managing director Mark Maguire said: "It's really important to know the effect that eight hours on a coach has on the players and to do that twice in a week really was too much in terms of dehydration and the time they arrived home."
