SUNDERLAND have tabled another bid for Charlie Wyke, according to sources in the north-east.

City rejected an initial offer of £600,000 but it is claimed that the Black Cats have come back in for the injured striker - although this has been dismissed as "pure speculation" by Valley Parade sources.

Our sister paper the Northern Echo say the latest offer could be worth near to £1 million and they will be pushing City for a response within the next 24 hours.

Sunderland are in the market for two frontmen and have upped their chase for Wyke after missing out to Bristol City for Cheltenham's Mo Eisa.
